DALLAS – Nov. 5, 2015 - ACTIVE Network® the largest global marketplace for activities and events, and the industry’s leading provider of data solutions, today announced it would donate a portion of each online hunting license purchase through the Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency website operated by ACTIVE, up to $15,000, to Hunters for the Hungry . The Tennessee Wildlife Federation’s Hunters for the Hungry program provides healthy, much-needed protein to Tennessee’s citizens in need. Since 1996, Hunters for the Hungry has provided more than four million meals to Tennessee residents.

For any hunting license purchased online at https://www.tn.gov/twra/article/license-to-feed from November 1, 2015 through January 15, 2016, $1.50 will be donated to Hunters for the Hungry by ACTIVE until a total of $15,000.00 has been donated. A $1.00 donation helps fund three full meals. Based on last year’s online license sales, ACTIVE will reach its goal of donating $15,000 to Hunters for the Hungry, helping to fund 45,000 meals, and feeding more than 11,000 families of four.

Hunters for the Hungry program connects white-tailed deer hunters with local wild game processors who prepare and package donated venison for either free or at a reduced price to the hunter. The venison is then provided to area food banks and soup kitchens and is often the main source of fresh protein for hunger relief organizations.
